Crap.

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

My insurance expired last month and I didn’t get my notice. The cop was nice enough to reduce the ticket from $600 to $81, and the towing, about 1 KM from my house, was another $81.

Bummer.

Is this thing still on? I have no time lately to do anything extra curricular, all I can do is drive back and forth from work, eat, sleep, drink coffee and once in awhile catch up with the rest of the world.

I started listening to CBC Radio in the car, while I have a ton of new music to listen to like the new Guns N Roses, Metallica and AC/DC albums, I’m suddenly hooked on these guys talking about whatever. Maybe this makes me officially old now. Next thing you know I’ll be wearing khakis and golf shirts on the weekends.

I’ll never take up golf though. Shoot me if I do.

To be honest though, these business casual clothes that I’ve been wearing lately are comfy, and they look pretty good. So maybe my whole problem with wearing them on my personal time is that I’ll feel like I betrayed myself. Like I finally accepted the fact that I’m a business card carrying member of the adult world. But I don’t wanna grow up! Ahh come on Jens, this is fun.

Nah. Being a bazillionaire and flying around the world in a private jet would be fun. Stress and regular day to day life, not always fun. Sometimes hilarious and uplifting, true, and I guess that’s all anybody could hope for.

I’m dreaming of a hot summer windless paddle up and down a small river. Ahhhh now that’s fun! And khakis and golf shirts are definitely not required.
